hardly a stranger to the scene, ash moses first made a name for himself in dj booths across his hometown of sydney. it wasnt long before the bonafide musician crossed the dj booth threshold into the realm of production under the tunnel signs moniker and, eventually, as one-half of the death strobe label, where he released his debut sun ep

unclosed starts a new project with analog series. 10 references in premium vinyl format with the best underground world techno producers. only 300 copies from a 180gr vinyl made hand one by one. eduardo de la calle sign the first reference with two techno tracks in side a. underground techno detroit to headphones and dancefloor. in the side b, one techno dub track from tecknoise and one techno track from martin emit. the final label art is manually sticked in the vinyl by unclosed team. also, the vinyl colour amount and opacity is diferent in each one, then don’t exist two equal vinyls.

in the 70s radio stations were a powerful force across the whole of the us, and anyone with a transistor radio had access all kinds of music. live music was another matter altogether, and unless you found yourself in a major city your nights out were limited to what the local talent had to offer. this was especially so with soul and funk acts, as mainstream rock and pop was where the money was. so for small time oklahoma soul bands such as husband and wife charles and barbara burtons groups messengers inc - and later burton inc - times were tough. however, like many purveyors of soul, tough times were no match for those with determination, persistence and a story to tell. many artists scraped enough money together to make a 45 or two on their own label, but the burtons took this to another level – they got themselves organised and released their own full length lps.

in the spring of 2012 yot teamed up with scottish born vocalist soom t (renegade masters). the product of this recording session? the first track on yot 4, the moody epic funk shuffle beat banger *the cure*. rising synths, tough beats and heaps of squelch all pushed up against soom ts unmistakable flow. a sure shot was born.
as well as vocal and instrumental versions of *the cure*, yot 4 features the grinding slow tempo burner *day won* and hypnotic ballad *g.i.m.p*. to record the ep the core four piece signed up a fifth member, multi-instrumentalist markus pyorala. it follows up last years *bitch bender*, which mixmag made album of the month, and drops on harmonia and losonofono.

cloaked in black, dimly lit and sparkling with dust, warm communications announces umbra volume 1. much in the spirit of adam xs traversable wormhole series, warm is bringing you a collection of anonymous releases that remind to remember drum and bass at its true heart: cracking snares, kick drums hitting your chest, subtle pads playing in an offcentered unison over 808 tones drowning distant thunder. these are the tunes you hear in a mix and say, who was that? the tunes that have made you wake up the next morning and type *id?* in the comments page. the tunes that do not even need to be named. warm communications umbra is truly about the art.
umbra volume 1 is a two-track ep that evokes omni trio and saw-era aphex twin, rumbling sine-heavy bass under ringing melody, computed chords and clean, crisp drums. this is a collectable, limited-edition series labeled appropriately with secretive sewer-grate artwork. umbra volume 1 is lurking there, underground, looking up through the shadows. it is up to you to find out just who is waiting there.

misty conditions is a project that started off when henry collins and richard wilson met up in henrys studio a couple of years ago and jammed for a few days non-stop, enjoying the process thoroughly. the connection became so good in this period that the duo developed a fluent understanding of how each other worked, ending up as a project made across the internet, while henry was living in france and richard in la. they cross pollinated by developing what each did best, henry making and creating banks of samples and richard creating software and effects to cut up and re-sample, passing the tracks back and forth, essentially until they felt finished.

hirofumi goto aka rondenion made his debut releases on still music back in 2005. shortly after, he released a streak of detroit infused house 12 on rushhour, aesthetic audio and more to great critical acclaim. a dj and producer born in japan. he began working as a recording artist in the late 90s under the name hirofumi goto, and released his global debut, >ameria ep<. it drew attention for its dark beats, unusual for a japanese artist, and was played by top djs like derrik may. he changed his name to rondenion to show respect to chicago and detroit, and began working on an overseas release. ultimately, his love bound ep was released by major labels such as >rush hour< and became a big hit. it reached the top on the rushhourstore sales chart, and became popular in europe. in 2012 he formed >ragrange symphony< with his old friends no milk and kez ym, and he is currently working on a number of projects for his own record label, >ragrange records<.after being approached by roundabout sounds for a remix, discussions shortly after were directed towards a plan for releasing rondenions debut album on both vinyl (roundabout sounds) and digital (plug research). the result is the luster grand hotel debut album, ready to drop in september 2013. luster grand hotel is the most accomplished project from rondenion, an absolute blend of detroit and chicago house, reminiscent of the music from moodymann, theo parrish and rick wilhite. a must have for any real house music fans.

after a short summer break fauxpas musik is announcing its comeback with the album solus by nocow. the tracks of the st. petersburg based russian remind us a little of the old aphex twin and autechre records. the record comes in heavy 180 gram vinyl, + download card + handmade silkscreen print cover! the artwork has been made by igor rudyak, design and concept by alex ketzer. vinyl tastes better!

in september 2013 mos ferry presents the fourth album smoke by dapayk & padberg. after their last album sweet nothings on stil vor talent in 2012 with its summery-funky sound the duo is now opening the door to a gloomy-melancholic world. dapayk & padberg consciously turn their back on the dancefloor and abandon the formerly typical balancing act between club sound and listening electronica. even though the a side of the present single is certainly made for the djs, it shall be the sole exception to their current creative path. the down-tempo version of smoke on the b side already reveals the new dapayk & padberg uneasy listening mixture.

ontology is the beginning of reality. pulsing rhythms as categories of being are acting like entities in a dusty void. sparkles of light underlines the times of creation, where nothing existed before. since nothing really existed for the human being, silence was full of noises.pulsation as the archaic form of life.

adam cummings aka binny made his first appearance on orbis records a few months back and it was certainly not his last. that we can assure you!

ambivalent & michael l penman debut on ovum with *shimmer*. having found a very fruitful collaborative friendship, michael l penman and ambivalent (aka kevin mchugh) have begun exploring the intersection of their approaches to music-making. they originally connected when kevin discovered michaels music in 2010. after playing many of his productions in his dj sets and including them in a mix-cd (_ground) release for minus, kevin made contact and the pair began exchanging files and swapping ideas. this led to time in the studio together and yet more file exchanges. quickly a natural creative balance emerged as they found that their production techniques were complementary as is their shared love of groove, bass and musicality. for their ovum debut the duo have delivered a trio of tracks that have those three elements at their core. title track shimmer brings together raw jackin funk with a warm driving bassline and scything techy stabs whilst chevalier matches its fun bouncy groove with an infectious and spritely melody. final track memogram comes heavy with the oldskool, delivering a bed of beats and samples beneath the very heaviest of acid-kicks. not for the feint of heart!

22 year old hackman has been one of the most rewarding artists to emerge from the uks ever-shifting dance music landscape in recent years. debuting in 2010 with sublime singles for ramp offshoot ptn (more than ever, made up my mind), and more recently releasing an ep for greco roman featuring the magnificent close, followed by agree to disagree for ptn, hackman has won fans across the board, from nick grimshaw to mary anne hobbs to skream, and the gilles peterson approved forgotten notes. currently in the studio working with a series of vocalists for his upcoming debut album scheduled for release on ramp later this year, hackman drops a 12 inch, of hazy summer vibes with fists of ham, backed with a broken techno remix from fourth wave artist felix lenferink for 2084 records.
